N. Nazarbayev arrives in Turkestan city

SHYMKENT. March 11. KAZINFORM /Tatyana Pylayeva/ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has arrived in Turkestan city where he visited the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi within his working trip to South Kazakhstan region.

Having visited the Mausoleum N. Nazarbayev familiarized with the cultural-historical and ethnographic center that was opened in December of 2010. The center has great exposition telling about the history of Turkestan dating from ancient times.

'We have collected 1.5 thousand exhibits from several countries for six months of work. Museums collect their exhibits for decades and some of them for centuries. Therefore we still have plenty of work ahead', author of the exposition Amanzhol Naimanbayev said.

The center has the task of creating museum exhibitions and studying history. The building has research rooms, laboratories etc.

The Head of State familiarized with the exhibition and discussed the further directions of study of the history of Kazakhstan with representatives of the scientific community.
