N. Nazarbayev congratulated Islam Karimov on Independence Day of Uzbekistan

TASHKENT. August 27. KAZINFORM /Kurmat Samarkhan/ Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev extended congratulations on the Independence Day of Uzbekistan to his colleague Islam Karimov.

"Dear Mr. Karimov, I would like to congratulate you on the national holiday of the Republic of Uzbekistan - the Independence Day. Confidential and equitable relations with Uzbekistan are of special importance in Kazakhstan. I am sure that friendly relations between our countries based on trust and mutual understanding will further develop and strengthen in the interests of people of both states", the congratulation letter, published in one of the national newspapers writes.

"I wish you good health, welfare and successes in your activity. May people of Uzbekistan live in peace, welfare and prosperity", the newspaper cites the Kazakh President.
