N. Nazarbayev, H. Van Rompuy agreed to improve legal framework for cooperation
BRUSSELS. October 25. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy agreed to improve the legal framework for cooperation. The Kazakh President has made it public after the meeting with Mr. Herman Van Rompuy.
"I have asked to speed up the negotiation process concerning the signing of a new agreement on advanced partnership between Kazakhstan and the European Union", the Head of the State said.
As N. Nazarbayev noted, they also considered the opportunities of interaction with the EU within the framework of the Kazakhstan's "Path to Europe" Program and EU Strategy for Central Asia.
"We have discussed the conditions of Kazakhstan's entrance into the WTO", the President added.
Besides, he noted that the issues of establishing cooperation with the European Investment Bank were considered.
