N.Nazarbayev: Honest, incorruptible judicial authority presence is precondition for legal system's quality work

ASTANA. November 18. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ The presence of an honest, incorruptible judicial authority is a precondition for a quality work of the whole legal system. Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev has announced it at the opening of V Congress of Judges of Kazakhstan in Astana.

"There are many outstanding issues in the judicial system. The first one is cases of getting dishonest people in the judiciary establishment. Though the current system of judicial specialists' selection is rather complicated sieve, the judges community cannot protect itself from the random people", N.Nazarbayev said.

N.Nazarbayev also outlined an insufficient professional level and ethical image of individual judges, imperfect process of judiciary, problem of quality of judgment execution, wiggery, judicial errors and offences against law.

"I hope that there will be held a frank and principal dialogue at the Congress, and proposals on liquidation these disadvantages will be voiced", N.Nazarbayev resumed.
