N. Nazarbayev met with Financial Police Agency Chairman
ASTANA. May 3. KAZINFORM Kazakh President has received Chairman of the Agency for Fighting Economic and Corruption Crimes (Financial Police) Rashid Tussupbekov, the Kazakh President's press service reports.
According to R. Tussupbekov, the detection of the corruption crimes increased by 23%, economic crimes - by 6.5 % in comparison with the analogous period of the last year.
Also R. Tussupbekov reported on measures taken to prevent intervention of the financial police officers and reduce the administrative pressure on business sector. In particular, a pilot project aimed at enhancing the role of the investigator at the pre-investigation stage has been implemented in the departments of Astana and Pavlodar regions for avoidance of interference into businesses and to protect the rights of citizens.
Following the meeting, the Head of State set a number of problems, and gave specific instructions to the Financial Police Agency.
