N. Nazarbayev proposed to build Eurasian transport corridor

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed to build the Eurasian transcontinental transport corridor.

"I propose to build a high-speed transport route - Eurasian transcontinental corridor. It will run through the territory of Kazakhstan and allow to easily transit cargo from Asia to Europe and back. It is a shortcut compared to the ocean," the President said at the Astana Economic Forum.

The Head of State emphasized that the project would allow to ensure better security and relations between the countries because it is going to be for everybody's sake.

"The transport corridor will give an impetus for development of industry in all countries related to the corridor. Dear participants of the forum! Joint initiatives in the transport sphere are a good platform for cooperation," N. Nazarbayev concluded.
