N. Nazarbayev's proposal on new world currency deserves attention: M.Jenca

ASTANA. March 25. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ambassador Askhat Orazbayev had a meeting with UN Secretary General?s Special Representative, Head of the Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy in Central Asia Miroslav Jenca in Ashkhabad.

The Kazakh Ambassador told about the main provisions of the President?s Address to the Nation, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry. The Kazakh Ambassador noted that Kazakhstan was among the countries which were first to respond to the growing crisis in the world economy, and developed a complex system of antirecessionary measures. The Head of the Regional Center was informed of the measures, taken by Kazakhstan's Government to stimulate the economic activity of the non-primary sectors, small and medium businesses. A.Orazbayev laid special emphasis on the announcement of President Nazarbayev about implementation of the new plan aimed at economic modernization by development of the basic infrastructure, financing of promising investment projects in the competitive sectors of the economy, and realization of the employment strategy to ensure post-crisis development of the country. Touching upon the foreign policy of our country, the Diplomat stressed the continuity of its conceptual bases and adherence to the fulfillment of all international commitments. He noted that due to balanced and effective policy of the country's authority and timely measures, the global financial crisis didn?t become a national disaster for Kazakhstan. M.Jenca studied the main provisions of the President?s Address and noted that Kazakhstan being an authoritative member of the international community, showed other countries the ways of overcoming the crisis and created the conditions to fight it inside the country. The Head of the Regional Center complimented the idea of President Nazarbayev to create a new world currency, as announced at the II Economic Forum in Astana.
