National Bank Chairman reports to President on current financial situation

sp;ASTANA. November 10. KAZINFORM. President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has received Chairman of the National Bank Grigory Marchenko today; Kazinform refers to the Presidential press service.

G. Marchenko reported on the current situation in the financial sphere of Kazakhstan.

"The National Bank will continue the policy of currency corridor in 2010. At present the currency exchange rate is 98 per cent to the basic level of 2000. Thus we can say that the competitiveness of Kazakhstan's economy is fully restored. Taking into account prices for raw materials, export goods and situation in Russia and China the rate of Tenge should strengthen. Presently the situation is stable", the Chairman said.
