National Consumers' League supports early presidential elections in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Members of the republican public association "National Consumers' League" have supported the initiative of the council of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan to hold snap presidential elections.

Chairperson of the league and deputy of Majilis, the lower chamber of the Kazakh Parliament, Svetlana Romanovskaya made a statement regarding the initiative. According to her, the members of the league believe that amid global economic crisis every country should do its best to avoid decline in people's income. And the new economic policy adopted in Kazakhstan "Nurly zhol - Path to the Future" solves this problem perfectly. "This program will enable Kazakhstan to survive the ‘economic storm' and build stronger economy," she said. "This and other measures will help restore the health of our economy and enable the country to overcome hardships, preserve wellbeing of all Kazakhstanis and strengthen our unity," Ms Romanovskaya stressed. However, in her words, in order to implement all the tasks and achieve these goals we need to stand together and solve socially important issues together. "In this connection holding early presidential elections will allow to strengthen the spirit of the nation, boost the potential of civil society and overcome downbeat moods in the period of unstable economic and geopolitical situation in the world," she added. The majiliswoman also urged all citizens of the country to support the initiative of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan.
