National Fund to allocate KZT 30 bln for support of small and medium business of Astana

ASTANA. January 19. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ ?KZT 30 bln will be allocated from the National Fund for the support of small and medium business of Astana?, Chairman of ?Samruk Kazyna? National Welfare Fund Kairat Kelimbetov said at the signing of the Memo of cooperation between the Akimat of Astana and the National Economic Chamber ?Atameken Union?, Kazinform reports.

As reported earlier, from KZT 120 bln that will be allocated from the National Fund for support of small and medium business, KZT 30 bln as minimum will be directed for small and medium business of Astana. The funds will be allocated through ?Damu? Fund. ?We plan to sign credit agreements between ?Damu? Fund and banks and start new program of financing as soon as the National Fund allocates the means. The financing of small and medium business of Astana will start in February?, K.Kelimbetov said. Astana Mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov said that the small and medium business of the capital will be financed not only through this structure. ?Second-tier banks will also receive corresponding recourses of ?Samruk Kazyna? and accept projects that can be financed?, the Mayor said. According to him, small and medium business of Astana received KZT 64 bln in 2008, KZT 22 bln of which - through ?Damu? Fund.
