"We closely cooperate with the Kazakh Government, especially in the education field. As you know, there exist a number of ethnic groups which live in Kazakhstan", he noted.

As the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities emphasized, such ethnos like Uzbeks, Uighurs, Dungans and others live in Kazakhstan. These groups have their own educational establishments, own schools, and the OSCE jointly with the Kazakh Government work in this direction.

"We render assistance in strengthening the education system for various groups, and we draw attention to the state language, hence it is important to minorities to learn the state language. Only mastering the language, they can become full members of the society", K.Vollebaek said.

The OSCE High Commissioner emphasized that the work on these two directions will be continued.

"We reached serious success in some schools, with which we worked, and we hope that this work would be spread to other regions", K.Vollebaek resumed.
