National Museum of Kazakhstan hosts exhibition of Uzbek painters and masters
An exhibition of Uzbek fine art and folk applied art has opened at the national museum of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.
The exhibition is held as part of the official visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Today’s exhibition is another demonstration of friendship between Kazakh and Uzbek nations, sharing a common history and rich cultural heritage. It will further enhance spiritual ties. The exhibition features eye-catching works by Uzbek painters, masters of applied art of the last decade, said the Kazakh Culture Committee Chairwoman Kumis Seitova.
It was pointed out that the exhibition will continue the cultural and information dialogue established between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan over the years of independence.
The art in Uzbekistan experienced a revival during the period of independence. With increased access to information to the global artistic process rises and deepens the interest of masters of art in the national culture, historic heritage and people’s lives, said the hosts.
The works of renowned artists, members of the Uzbek Academy of Arts and young painters from different parts of Uzbekistan, including Akmal Nur, Alisher Khamdamov, Tatyana Fadeeva, Faizulla Akhmadaliyev, Shkhnoza Abdullayeva, Bakhtiyor Makhkamov, Khurshid Ziyakhaov and others are on display at the exhibition.
The exhibition featuring a total of around 80 paintings and over 100 works of folk applied art is to run through August 8.
