NATO does not recognize elections in South Ossetia

USSELS. November 14. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ NATO does not recognize the elections held on November 13 in South Ossetia. NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has made it public today; the press service reports.

"The holding of such elections does not contribute to a peaceful and lasting settlement of the situation in Georgia. The Alliance reiterates its full support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia within its internationally recognized borders," the Secretary General's statement reads.
