NATO jubilee summit opens in Strasbourg and Kehl
STRASBOURG. April 3. KAZINFORM /Yerzhan Ospanov/ A two-day jubilee summit of the NATO dedicated to its 60th anniversary is to be opened in Strasbourg and Kehl today, Kazinform reports.

The forum will be participated by the heads of the countries and governments of the Alliance?s 28 member states. As is known, Albania and Croatia joined the North Atlantic Alliance yesterday.
Yesterday evening Strasbourg hosted NATO-2020 Youth Forum at which Secretary General of the Organization Jaap de Hoop Scheffer addressed the students and young politicians with a welcoming speech.
The two-day forum will be opened in Baden-Baden. The participants will exchange views on the future of the Alliance and its operations. NATO-Russia relations will be in spotlight as well. Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense will focus on the NATO strategy and its military opportunities at working lunches.
On Sunday morning the guests will enjoy ceremonial activities devoted to the participants of the NATO missions and operations. After this the leaders will gather for the working session of the North Atlantic Council in Strasbourg for discussing the current operations of the NATO, namely in Afghanistan.
Upon completion of the summit, the heads of the countries and governments will adopt several key documents ? a communique, a security declaration and a resolution on Afghanistan.
