Nauryz celebrated for first time in Indonesia

Initiated by the embassy of Kazakhstan in Indonesia, the Association of Kazakhstanis in Indonesia organized the celebration of Nauryz Meiramy for the first time in Ubud, Bali province. The event was attended by leaders from the departments of culture and tourism, representatives from the community and business circles of the province, as well as over seventy compatriots, Kazinform News Agency cites the press service of the Kazakh MFA.

Representatives from the Embassy of Kazakhstan, while recounting the history and the new format of celebrating Nauryz Meiramy, highlighted the unity and patriotism of Kazakhstanis in Indonesia, wishing peace and prosperity to all present.

In his address, head of the province’s department of culture Gede Aria Sugiartha congratulated the people of Kazakhstan on this joyful occasion, emphasizing the importance of its promotion abroad and the necessity of strengthening cultural exchange and cooperation between the two countries.

Warm greetings and congratulations to the guests and participants of the event were also extended by the leadership of the Association of Kazakhstanis in Indonesia.

The emotional atmosphere of Nauryz Meiramy was enriched with performances by children on the dombra, who played compositions such as Alash Amanaty, Aryngazy, Konil tolqyny, and other kuis, as well as the national dance Qyzqaldaqtar. The festive mood of the participants was further enhanced by a tasting of national delicacies.
