Nazarbayev, Berlusconi hold telephone conversation

ASTANA. April 9. KAZINFORM President Nursultan Nazarbayev has held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Italy Silvio Berlusconi; the Presidential press service informed Kazinform

The Head of Kazakhstan expressed condolences in connection with numerous victims of the catastrophic earthquake in the central regions of Italy, due to which 275 people were killed, 1,500 injured and 28,000 were left without homes. N.Nazarbayev confirmed readiness of Kazakhstan to assist the Italian Government in liquidation of the disaster consequences. S.Berlusconi expressed gratitude and noted that Kazakhstan could assist in rehabilitation of historical objects. The Italian Prime Minister informed that a representative delegation of his country consisting of businessmen, public figures, and journalists would visit Kazakhstan in the nearest future. Milan football team is expected to come as well. S.Berlusconi invited N.Nazarbayev to pay a state visit to Italy in autumn, 2009.
