Nazarbayev Center director, ex-President of Swiss Confederation debated coop issues
ASTANA. November 21. KAZINFORM Kanat Saudabayev, Chairman of the Commission on Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction under the President of Kazakhstan and Director of the Nazarbayev Center met with ex-President of Swiss Confederation, Professor at the Geneva University Micheline Calmy-Rey as part of the Nazarbayev Center and the ATOM Project presentation in Geneva.

The parties focused on the key directions of bilateral cooperation, debated the current state of the joint contractual basis, non-proliferation and disarmament issues, the Nazarbayev Center's press service said.
Micheline Calmy-Rey highly appreciated bilateral ties and expressed confidence that this visit of Kanat Saudabayev will give a new impetus and will contribute to further fruitful cooperation between the two countries in this sphere.
In his turn, Saudabayev highlighted significance of the ATOM Project, a new initiative of President Nazarbayev, building on top of his 21 years of commitment and actions to achieve global nuclear disarmament.
