Nazarbayev: child adoption must be encouraged

ASTANA. March 5. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ ?We must work out a system of encouraging the citizens who adopt children?, President Nursultan Nazarbayev announced today at the V Forum of Kazakhstan Women in Astana, Kazinform reports.

?Along with birth support we must also encourage those families which adopt orphans. We cannot be indifferent to the fortune of children who lost parents, N. Nazarbayev said. The President reminded that adoption of Kazakhstani children by foreign citizens was prohibited. According to President Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan needs to strengthen the institution of marriage and family. ?Family, children, family values and traditions have always been the foundation of our society and our culture?, he noted.
