Nazarbayev: EXPO pavilions to serve as Astana financial center premises after 2017

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - EXPO 2017 pavilions will be used as premises of the Astana financial center after the exhibition, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev announced, speaking at the 8th Astana Economic Forum.

"I've signed the decree on the establishment of the financial center in Astana. We will host the International exhibition EXPO-2017 and after that all the amazing and comfortable facilities that have been built will be used by the financial center," the Head of State said. The International financial center in Astana, according to President Nazarbayev, will echo the Dubai International Financial Center and will be based on the principles of the British legislation. "We've had negotiations with the DIFC authorities and agreed that we will use their experience in Kazakhstan," Nursultan Nazarbayev added.
