Nazarbayev: Kazakhstan committed to contributing to stabilization of situation in Ukraine

BRUSSELS. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan is committed to contributing to stabilization of situation in Ukraine that would lay the foundation for lifting the mutual sanctions between the West and Russia," President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said today in Brussels.

"We debated a wide range of issues related to the European and Central Asian regions. We are concerned over the events occurring in Ukraine. We are committed to contributing to stabilization of situation in Ukraine that would lay the foundation for lifting existing mutual sanctions between the West and Russia in force that hinder development of the conflicting parties and the global economy at large," the President noted following the talks with President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso.
