Nazarbayev made interethnic concord cornerstone of his policy - Vidadi Salakhov

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Far-sightedness of Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev lays in the fact that he made interethnic concord the cornerstone of his policy, believes chairman of the scientific and expert council of Astana city, editor-in-chief of Turan Times newspaper and president of the Azerbaijani cultural centers of Kazakhstan Mr. Vidadi Salakhov.

He expressed his opinion in an interview with Kazinform correspondent on the eve of the 19th anniversary of the People's Assembly of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"Interethnic policy of Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev, pursued since the early days of Independence, will go down in history for establishing a unique institute - the People's Assembly. Political far-sightedness of the Kazakh President enabled Kazakhstan become of the most stable countries in the post-Soviet space," Mr. Salakhov noted.

In his words, Kazakhstan's policy rests upon friendship and consent between the representatives of more than 130 nationalities that form the nation.
