Nazarbayev, Medvedev held bilateral meeting in Moscow
MOSCOW. February 5. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev held a bilateral meeting in the Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow; Kazinform reports.
The Kazakh President noted that last year the countries reached a good economic index: trade turnover formed USD 20 bln. Cooperation in the sphere of education, science and culture develops. About 20 thousand young Kazakhstanis study in Russian universities. A cultural exchange continues as well. Astana has recently held a forum of the EurAsEC scientists and a forum of bankers.
Within the meeting an issue of overcoming the world financial crisis was touched upon. N.Nazarbayev noted that it is necessary to think of a post-crisis period, to screw up infrastructure, education, healthcare and diversify economy. According to the President, integration plays a big role in this process.
N.Nazarbayev emphasized that the states do their best for establishment of the Customs Union between Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia this year. ?It is a good integration example for all?, the President noted.
The Head of the State expressed satisfaction that all agreements between our countries function.
The Russian President, in his turn, noted that bilateral relations develop dynamically, despite the financial crisis, tasks connected with its overcoming are under solution.
D.Medvedev thanked N.Nazarbayev for the participation in integration processes.
