Nazarbayev praises high rates of industrial growth in E Kazakhstan region
The Head of State noted high rates of industrial growth in the region and dynamic development of its cultural sphere. "During the trip, I visited the copper plant of Kazzinc LLP that exports zinc, copper, gold and silver. Ecological cleanness is of paramount importance for the industrial sector of Ust Kamenogorsk. All enterprises that are being constructed here meet up-to-date ecological standards and ensure safe future of the city. Besides, a new theater with a 600 all-seated capacity was unveiled within the framework of the visit," President Nazarbayev said at the press briefing. Nursultan Nazarbayev paid utmost attention to the efforts made by the Government of Kazakhstan to ensure ecological safety, improve healthcare system and quality of medical services in the region. "The city of Semey is situated in the region that suffered from nuclear tests for over 40 years. Today it is safe to say that local medical centers are one of the best in Kazakhstan. During the visit, I surveyed the unique oncology center in Semey that has no analogues countrywide. There are plans to build analogous center in Astana," the Head of State noted. The President of Kazakhstan also pointed out the necessity to further develop Kazakhstan's system of transport and infrastructure. "Currently Kazakhstan implements the Kazakhstan-2050 Development Strategy with a view to join the world's 30 most competitive economies, the Nurly zhol economic policy and the national idea Mangilik Yel. All people support these initiatives, as well as stability and unity of Kazakhstan," President Nazarbayev added. In conclusion, the Kazakh leader wished residents of the region success and prosperity.
