Nazarbayev, Putin confirmed possibility of holding meeting of CU member states and Ukraine in Aug

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev had a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the Akorda press service said.

The parties debated sanctions against Russia and Russia's reciprocal measures, and their probable consequences, also shared views on situation in southeast Ukraine. The Presidents confirmed the possibility of holding a meeting of the CU member states and Ukraine in the third decade of August this year as proposed by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. Besides, Putin told about the results of his meeting with the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia. The sides also focused on bilateral cooperation issues between Kazakhstan and Russia.
