Nazarbayev's Message to the people of Kazakhstan discussed in London

ASTANA. March 16. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan Embassy in London in association with the Center for Eurasian Studies of Reading University held a seminar on discussion of the President?s Address to the People of Kazakhstan and the outlooks for execution of ?Path to Europe? Program, the press service of Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry informed Kazinform.

Ambassador Kairat Abusseyitov spoke at the seminar and said that Kazakhstan was among the first countries which responded to the growing turbulence of the word economy and has consistently implemented a comprehensive system of anti-crisis measures . The mid-term Program of economic modernization adopted by Kazakhstan's Government will allow our country not only to maintain its position on the world arena, but also emerge from the crisis as a strong and prosperous country. Kazakhstan will adhere to previously developed priorities and will continue gradual implementation of the ?Path to Europe? Program and preparation for the OSCE chairmanship in 2010. Kairat Abusseyitov emphasized the important role of Great Britain in foreign policy and its assistance in realization of Kazakhstan's Program. The faculty and students of the university also participated in the conference and appreciated the policy of Kazakhstan in the world arena.
