Nazarbayev urges Kazakh writers and readers to cherish our independence

ASTANA. December 3. KAZINFORM Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev received Chairman of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Nurlan Orazalin on Saturday; the presidential press service told Kazinform.

The parties discussed the issues of social development, the modern literary process and the role of creative intelligentsia in modernization of Kazakhstan.

The President paid special attention to the issues of developing culture, national literature and arts. He urged every writer and audience of many millions of Kazakh readers to cherish our most important value - Independence of Kazakhstan.

"The national literature should be developed by implementing this social problem, by creating and protecting the highest spiritual and moral values ​​of our society," Orazalin said.
