Nazarbayev welcomes U Bango?s intention to visit Kazakhstan

BEIJING. April 16. KAZINFORM. /Talgat Baimukhambetov/ Within the framework of the official visit to China President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with Chairman of the Permanent Committee of the All-China Congress of People?s Representatives U Bango today.

The Head of the State noted that this was his 15th visit to China, and all the previous visits were very important for Kazakhstan and for development of bilateral relations. The President emphasized big opportunities and high technology level of China. Among the most significant events he pointed out the Olympic Games 2008, the first Chinese spacewalk and rapid mitigation of consequences of the earthquake in Sichuan Province. Mr. U Bango noted that the Kazakh leader?s visit to the People?s Republic of China would promote deepening and development of friendship and cooperation between the two states. The parties highly estimated the level of bilateral strategic cooperation between the countries. The noted high level, strong regulatory framework and trust in bilateral relations. They stressed that active interparliamentary and interparty contacts play very important role in the enhancement of multilateral interaction between Astana and Beijing. President Nazarbayev welcomed U Bango?s intention to pay a state visit to Kazakhstan in the second half of 2009 on the invitation of Chairman of the Senate of Kazakhstan?s Parliament Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Besides, it is known that Speaker of the Majilis (Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament) Ural Mukhamedzhanov is expected to visit China in 2010. The two parties positively estimated bilateral cooperation within the framework of the UN, SCO, CICA, Congress of World and Traditional Religions? Leaders, Asia Cooperation Dialog and other structures as well as interaction in struggle against terrorism, extremism and separatism, drug trafficking and other crimes. The President of Kazakhstan confirmed Astana?s support of the One-China Principle.
