NBRB allows advance payments to Russia, Kazakhstan
MINSK. March 17. KAZINFORM As of 16 March the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB) has allowed Belarusian importers to make advance payments in line with foreign trade contracts to economic entities in Russia and Kazakhstan, BelTA learned from representatives of the NBRB Information Department; Kazinform refers to BelTA.
The step was made to fulfill Belarus' obligations laid down by the agreement on the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space. The decision was laid down by NBRB letter No 31-16/75 of 16 March 2011.
The source explained that the removal of existing barriers and restrictions is supposed to further harmonize the development of market relations between the countries and to create equal conditions and opportunities for businesses in the three countries to pursue foreign trade interests; Kazinform cites BelTA.
