Necessary to decrease East Kazakhstan region's dependence on republican budget - N. Nazarbayev

 ASTANA. May 4. KAZINFORM  Today Kazakh President has accepted Akim of the East Kazakhstan region Berdybek Saparbayev, Kazakh President's press service informed.

B. Saparabayev reported on results of social economic development of the region for 2011 and the first quarter of 2012.

The Head of the State noted the high economic development growth indexes and paid attention to a number of problems.

"The region is subsidized. About 74% of the budget is transfered from the national budget. It is necessary to reduce this dependence. On the whole, industrial production is growing, the region is developing. Now it is important to pay attention to the development of social sphere," Kazakh President said.

Following the meeting, Nursultan Nazarbayev entrusted Akim with a number of tasks and gave specific instructions.
