ASTANA. January 28. KAZINFORM It's necessary to complete the negotiations with Russia regarding oil and gas supply by the second half of the year, Premier of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov emphasized at the enlarged session of the board of the Ministry of Oil and Gas.

"Currently, we are at an active stage of the negotiations with Russia on a number of issues regarding mutual supply of oil and gas. These are quite complicated issues," S. Akhmetov noted.

"The future of implementation of the Karachaganak project will depend on the decisions taken by Sauat Mynbayev and Kairat Kelimbetov. Therefore, we need to complete the negotiations process by the second half of the year and ensure maximum protection of the interests of our country," the Prime Minister emphasized.

The Prime Minister also noted that these issues are very specific and require a special approach.
