Nesessary to improve grain market state regulatio, 1st Vice Premier of Kazakhstan

ASTANA. March 16. KAZINFORM "Promotion of Kazakhstan's grain and flour to the world market and, particular, to Central Asia and Southeast Asia countries demands the improvement of grain market state regulation," said Kazakh 1st Vice Premier Serik Akhmetov at the V Kazakh Grain Forum at "RiXOS" Hotel.

According to S. Akhmetov, high yield of grain and quantitative characteristics of Kazakhstan wheat advance Kazakhstan's positions as the one of the leading grain and flour exporters. More than 70 world countries buy our grain.

This year country harvested record 27 mln tons of grain in the history of  independent Kazakhstan. It will allow to bring export capacity up to 15 mln tons.

For further development of grain industry and promotion of grain exports it is necessary to develop grain storage and transportation infrastructure, including construction and renovation of granaries, construction of port terminals and acquisition of dry-cargo ships and grain wagons.

On the instruction of the Kazakh President N. Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan works on the creation of the Single Grain Holding. "I believe the current Grain Forum will host an open dialog among all participants of grain market, help solve key problems in this field. The results of the discussion, recommendations will be used for the development of the state agrarian policy and the grain industry, in particular," S. Akhmetov told.
