New akim of Oral named

Murat Baimenov has been appointed as a new akim of Oral, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Akim (governor) of the region, Nariman Turegaliyev, participated in an extraordinary session of the city maslikhat and put forward the candidacy of the new akim of Oral which was unanimously supported by the deputies.

“Murat Baimenov has been working in Oral and in the districts of our region. He is familiar with all the problems. Most importantly, the citizens know him well. I believe that the accumulated experience and knowledge will help him realize his potential for the benefit of social and economic development of the city” the governor of the region noted.

Nariman Turegaliyev set a number of tasks for the new akim to continue the development of infrastructure of the regional center.

Murat Baimenov was born in 1969. He held a number of positions over the course of his career, including deputy head of the department of finance of the West Kazakhstan region, deputy akims of Shyngyrlau and Baiterek districts, head of the department of economic analysis, internal control and monitoring of public services of the akim's office in the West Kazakhstan region, deputy head of the energy and housing department of the West Kazakhstan region, and General Director of Zhaiykteploenergo JSC.

From October 2020 to the present, he has served as deputy akim of Baiterek district.
