New chairperson of Information Ministry’s Culture Committee named

Kumis Seitova was appointed as the Chairperson of the Culture Committee by the decree of the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency cites the Government’s press service.

Born in 1970 in Karaganda region, Kumis Seitova is a graduate of the Zhezkazgan Pedagogic Institute, the Bolashak Academy and the Konayev University.

Throughout her career, she worked for the Zhezkazgan regional history museum and the Institute of upgrading qualifications of the legal and state agencies.

In 2005 she joined the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and rose through the ranks to become the Chairperson of the Culture Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Sports in July 2023.
