New checkpoint planned to be opened on border with China
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The governments of Kazakhstan and China plan to amend bilateral agreement on checkpoints on the border between the two countries, the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan informs.
"Presently, in order to implement the international transit project - "Western Europe - Western China", we need to sign the protocol on amendments to the agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and China on checkpoints on the border between Kazakhstan and China and on the regime of work as of June 6, 2012," the statement reads. As was informed, signing of the protocol will ensure opening of a new checkpoint on the Kazakh-Chinese state border and increase the trade and economic cooperation between the countries.
