New Family health center opened in Astana
Previously this department had an area of 408 square meters, and it wasn’t divided into sections for children and adults.
The new Family health center is situated in one of the blocks of the Perinatal center and has an area of 2428 square meters. Primary medical care will be provided here to 32 000 residents of the city, including 9 000 children and 15 000 women of fertile age.
“Today is a very happy event for our healthcare system and for the population of the left bank of the capital - opening of a new Family health center for 250 visits. Here is an opportunity to open separate rooms for children, vaccination rooms, health child rooms, healthy lifestyle rooms, there are all necessary attributes of a real family health center within the meaning of the best international practices”, - Aigul Segizbayeva, the head of the metropolitan Health Administration, told astana.kz.
In the Center there will be rooms for sick call, where doctors will provide services for residents from 16 sections. Besides, there will be a room of a phthisiologist, health child room, 2 vaccination rooms, rooms for functional diagnostics and clinical diagnostic laboratory, and a healthy lifestyle room will function here.
“In the Family health center our children will get consultations without going somewhere. Here is a laboratory for analysis of blood, urine and biological materials, there will be pre-doctor rooms and screening rooms”, - Gulnar Amrina, acting head of the Family health center, shared with astana.kz.
It’s worth noting that opening of the Center will allow widening of the volume and affordability increasing of the provided medical care to citizens living within the left bank of the left bank of Astana, where currently the lack of polyclinic institutions can be observed. In addition, the Center will provide services for registered population of adjacent settlements and residential areas such as Prigorodny, Telmana, Zarechny and cottage areas.
