New glass factory to be constructed in Kyzylorda

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - This year Kyzylorda regiona will start construction of a new glass factory, said Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "Kazakhstan Investment Fund" Dauren Ibrashev at the press conference In Central Communications Service.

"Steward Engineers" company has been defined as the strategic investor in the project. According to Mr.Ibrashev, the new plant's capacity will be 197 thousand tons per year. This week the parties have signed contracts related to supply of equipment and turnkey construction. He noted that the cost of the plant is estimated at $ 198 million. During the construction stage there will be created about 60 jobs. After the plant's commissioning it will employ another 200 workers.
