New head of Almaty region police department named
Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erzhan Sadenov, introduced the newly appointed head of the Almaty region police department, Meyram Abikeyev, Kazinform News Agency reports citing Polisia.kz.
In coordination with the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Meiram Abikeyev has been appointed as the head of the regional police department.
Previously, he held the position of deputy head of the police department in the North Kazakhstan region.
Bagdat Ashimov was appointed as the first deputy head of the regional police department.
In accordance with the order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, first deputy head of the regional police department Serik Shalkharov, head of the Talgar district police department Nurzhan Kuntunov, head of the department for combating extremism of the department of internal affairs Ulan Baitakov, head of the criminal police department Ruslan Smagulov, head of the department for combating organised crime Dulat Kayir and his deputy Zhanat Omarov have been relieved of their duties.
