New head of Department of Presidential Affairs named

The Head of State decreed to appoint Rustam Bayaliyev as the head of the Department of Presidential Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency cites the Akorda press service.

Yerbol Orazbai was relieved of the post earlier.

Born in 1975 in Almaty, Bayaliyev is a graduate of the Al-Farabi Kazakh State University and the Kaakh State Academy.

Throughout his career, Rustam Bayaliyev worked for the State Tax Committee, Finance Ministry and Industry and Trade Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Between 2003 and 2004 he was the deputy chairman of the small business support committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. He was head of the office of the akim (governor) of Akmola region in 2004-2005. He has been serving as a chairman of the management board of Astanaenergyservice JSC since 2014.
