New head of water policy department named

The Water Resources and Irrigation Minister decreed to appoint Mukhtar Zhakenov as the director of the water policy department of the Water Resources and Irrigation Ministry of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency learnt from the ministry’s press service.

Born on October 19, 1961, in Kokshetau is a graduate of the Zhambyl Irrigation and Engineering Institute.

Since 2020 up to the present served as the international expert of the international cooperation department of the Foreign Policy Research Institute JSC.
