New tourist bases to appear in regions of Kyrgyzstan
A project aimed at building tourist bases in every region of Kyrgyzstan is set to be launched this year, the country's Tourism Development Support Fund informed, Kabar reports.
The Tourist Bases Project is an important element of the strategy to develop tourism in the regions of the country. This initiative is aimed at improving tourism infrastructure and full utilization of the potential of all districts, as well as attracting both local and foreign tourists.
During an online meeting with representatives of tourist destinations, President of the Tourism Development Support Fund Kylychbek Rysaliev said that the project involves a set of state support measures for investors.
In particular, it is considered that Eldik Bank and Aiyl Bank will consider “Tourist Bases” projects as a priority. In addition, the Oblasts Development Funds will provide priority support to projects related to tourist bases. Entrepreneurs will receive benefits at the initial stage, including exemption from land tax for up to one year.
The Fund will provide assistance in drawing up the necessary documents and providing land plots for project implementation.
The project opens wide opportunities for investors, including citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, migrants and representatives of the diaspora, who will be able to invest in the development of their native regions, which will be an additional stimulus for the growth of tourism infrastructure.
The initiative involves the construction or reconstruction of tourist facilities and bases in each region of the country, taking into account the uniqueness of the natural landscape and the principles of sustainable development.
Earlier it was reported that Kyrgyz deputy Bakytbek Maripov suggested relocating the country’s capital city to reduce traffic jam in Bishkek.
