New York Mayor Eric Adams congratulates Kazakhstanis on Republic Day
A ceremony of raising the National Flag of Kazakhstan dedicated to the October 25 Republic Day was held at Bowling Green in New York, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Mayor of the city Eric Adams addressed the participants.
He said he was honored to hold the Flag of Kazakhstan in his hands. In his words, the flag raising ceremony strengthens aspiration and beliefs of all those arriving in New York.
He pointed out incredible beauty of Kazakhstan’s Flag.
“This is definitely one of the most beautiful flags that I have ever witnessed. We are excited about being here," he said.
"You, like I, believe in family, you believe in business, you believe in public safety, you belive in children and faith. As we raise the flag today, we also raise the hopes and aspirations of everyone who comes to this great city,” he said.
The ceremony continued with musical performances and presenting gifts to the mayor of the city and other representatives of the city administration.
