Newborn girl found in a box near café

ASTANA. May 4. KAZINFORM Abandoned newborn girl wrapped in blood-stained rags was found not far from Askhat Café in Taldykorgan.

Express K newspaper journalist Larissa Schtoppel dedicated her article "Born in a box" to the baby.

According to her, employees of the café wrapped the child in clean towels and called the police.

"Perhaps the baby was born in a forest not far from the scene", press secretary of local police station Kobeikhan Nurakhmet reports. "The mother tried to get rid of the girl and hid her in a box."

Right now the child is in intensive care at the regional hospital. The search for careless mother continues.
