Nikita Akimov wins 3rd gold for Kazakhstan at 2025 World Winter University Games
Biathlete Nikita Akimov, trainee of the East Kazakhstan Regional School of High Sports Mastery, has won another gold medal for the Kazakh team in the Men’s 10km Sprint at the 2025 FISU World Winter University Games in Torino, Kazinform News Agency learned from the National Olympic Committee.
Knut Vikstroem from Sweden finished second, and Bohdan Borkovskiy from Ukraine claimed bronze medal.
The Kazakh team has already earned three gold medals at the competition.
Earlier, Anastassiya Gorodko claimed two gold medals in women’s freestyle mogul and in women’s dual mogul event.
