Nine Russians injured in Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash near Aktau left for Moscow
The plane of the emergency medicine of Russia landed in Aktau to airlift nine Russians injured in the accident involving the plane of Azerbaijan Airlines air carrier that crashed on Wednesday, December 25, some 3 km away from Aktau city in Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency cites the akimat (administration) of Mangistau region.
All those injured in the plane crash are receiving necessary medical assistance in the hospitals of Aktau, the local authorities said.
As earlier reported, the governmental commission was established under the chairmanship of Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev.
According to governor of Mangistau region Nurdaulet Kilybai the families of the victims and those injured are receiving necessary state support.
As earlier reported, the Azerbaijan Airlines plane, which was operating a flight en route Baku-Grozny, crashed Wednesday morning near Kazakhstan's Aktau city.
A group of experienced psychologists, doctors and rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, equipped with the necessary equipment, was sent to the city of Aktau by the Be-200 ES amphibious aircraft of the Ministry of Emergency Situations immediately after the crash of the passenger plane belonging to Azerbaijan Airlines.
It is worth reminding, that representatives of Embraer (Brazilian aircraft manufacturer) and the Aeronautical Accidents Investigation and Prevention Center (CENIPA) have already left for Kazakhstan.
