No deflation in Kazakhstan in 2009: A.Saidenov

ASTANA. January 20. KAZINFORM /Zauresh Balkenova/ Head of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Anvar Saidenov excludes deflation in 2009, considering that only reduction of inflation is possible. Such opinion the Chairman of the Bank has expressed toady after the session of the Government, Kazinform reports.

?We can expect reduction of inflation, but face the situation when prices will decrease, I think, is very difficult?, A.Saidenov said. Besides, he considers that the issue is concerned with the economic growth. Increase in prices and decrease of inflationary pressure will be observed. ?In this regard we pointed the level of inflation as of 9% for the end of 2009 in the joint declaration?, the Head of the Bank said.
