No heptyl found close to Proton crash site - Environment Minister Kapparov

ASTANA. July 10. KAZINFORM - Exceeding the maximum allowable concentration of heptyl in the air and soil in the surrounding villages to the crash site rocket "Proton" has not been found in Baikonur.

This has been reported today by the Minister of Environmental Protection, Mr. Kapparov, during the meeting of the Working Committee, that was established under the Intergovernmental Russian-Kazakh Commission on Baikonur complex.

Head of Ministry of Environmental Protection said that the place where the missile carrier exploded is on the territory leased by the Russian Federation - between platforms 81 and 200. Immediately after the fall the air and soil in the surrounding villages were sampled. During the laboratory test heptyl has not been found.

It should be recalled that the start of the carrier rocket named "Proton-M" with the upper stage DM-03 and three Russian navigation spacecraft "Glonass-M", which took place on July 2 from the site Baikonur, ended with a huge accident.

As confirmed by the National Space Agency of Kazakhstan, "Proton-M" fell and exploded after ten seconds following the start.
