No injuries in early morning cafe fire in Astana
ASTANA. January 6. KAZINFORM An elderly man has died in a fire at a one-storey apartment complex in Novoukrainka settlement in northern Kazakhstan on Saturday.

The Kazakh Ministry of Emergencies reports the man, thought to be in 60s, died after becoming trapped inside his apartment on Saturday morning. The North Kazakhstan emergencies department was tirelessly putting out the fire for four hours. No other injuries were reported.
An early-morning fire on Saturday has ripped through a metal container, rebuilt into a Dastarkhan café, and three other containers at the Astana central bazaar.
It was a little over two hours for the flames to be extinguished by the Astana emergencies department. The fire covered an area of 150 sq.m. No casualties were reported.
