No secure future for CA without solution of ?Afghan problem? ? Miroslav Jenca
ASTANA. March 3. KAZINFORM /Kurmat Samarkhan/ Issues regarding safe and stable development in the Central Asian region have been discussed at the meeting of Kazakhstan Secretary of State Kanat Saudabayev with Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General – Head of the Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy in the region Miroslav Jenca in Akorda Palace today, Kazinform reports.
?We have considered such important directions as, first of all, the situation with water resources, energy, and environment including the Aral Sea problem. Secondly, these are countering trans-border organized crime, combating drug traffic, extremism and terrorism. Thirdly, this is a range of issues connected with solution of the situation in Afghanistan, its impact on the Central Asian situation?, the Diplomat said.
?Special attention was given to Afghanistan. This country represents great challenge without solution of which we can not guarantee secure future for the Central Asia?, he highlighted.
