North-Caspian project in Kazakhstan became a world-class source of manpower - Nurlan Balgimbayev
"When there was a project on development of the Kashagan field in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea, we did not have any experience. It was necessary to attract to the project not only foreign executives, specialists and workers. Over the years, hundreds of Kazakhs have been trained at the world's leading academic centers, and interned in the oil companies. Today these are highly trained specialists:workers, managers and middle managers, and top managers. The result is about 80 percent of jobs now in the project are with Kazakhstanis. In my view, this is very important. Because in front of us we have new projects and we can now implement them on our own", said N. Balgimbayev.
It should be recalled that June 30 in the Atyrau region there was held a ceremony ofstarting production facilities of the North-Caspian project, which was attended by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and British Prime Minister David Cameron.
