Norway's skiers sweep the podium in women's 30 km cross-country in Sochi

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Norway's Marit Bjoergen claimed the gold medal at the Winter Olympics in the cross-country 30 km freestyle event at the Sochi Games on Saturday.

Bjoergen, was the first Norwegian woman to win the 30 km event at the Olympic Games, followed by her teammates, Therese Johaug who secured silver, and Kristin Stoermer Steira took the bronze, sports.kz reports. Kazakhstan's Yelena Kolomina finished the distance 48th, while Tatiana Osipova came 51st.
